Download a Yoga Nidra Script

I have prepared a yoga nidra script called Touching Bliss that is available for download. (It is also available as an mp3 yoga nidra download.)

This script is perfect for yoga teachers and other healers who would like to guide their students or clients through a relaxing, meditative practice.

The yoga nidra script is perfect for beginners, and includes an introduction that gives basic yoga nidra instructions.

Enjoy, and thank you for visiting my hub!

What Is Yoga Nidra and How do I do It?

Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep , is a deeply relaxing meditation practice from the yoga tradition.

In yoga nidra, participants lie still on their backs in savasana (corpse pose) and are guided through the different stages of practice by a facilitator. And usually, the leader of the meditation is reads a yoga nidra script.

Some yoga nidra experiences are offered at the end of a regular hatha yoga asana practice during the relaxation at the end. Such practices may last only 10 or 15 minutes.

Other times, yoga nidra is a practice all on its own, and can last an hour or more.

So how do you practice yoga nidra? Well, there are several different versions of the practice, so it varies.

One of the most popular forms of yoga nidra is Satyananda Yoga Nidra, formulated by Paramahamsa Satyananda Saraswati from tantric meditation practices that had been forgotten in the yoga tradition. This is the most studied (and emulated) form of yoga nidra in the West, and has influenced American nidra teachers like Rod Stryker and Richard Miller.

Swami Rama also developed a style of yoga nidra. India's famous Baba Ramdev teaches a form of yoga nidra as well.

The best way to get yoga nidra instructions is to study with a yoga teacher familiar with this deep and relaxing meditation practice.

There are also a number of yoga nidra meditation CDs and mp3 downloads available on Amazon.

Another powerful way of practicing yoga nidra is to get a yoga nidra script, and record yourself reading the script to so can play it back to yourself in your own voice.
